AUTO CONNECT - Product Description
AUSTRALIA’S MULTI-PURPOSE LINE SHARER FOR OPERATING AN ADDITIONAL OUTGOING
ONLY TELEPHONE DEVICE ON AN EXISTING VOICE, FAX OR PABX LINE !
AUTO-CONNECT PROVIDES FOR 4 SEPARATE SWITCH SELECTABLE MODES OF
OPERATION :
• OUTGOING DEVICE TELEPHONE LINE ACCESS
Provides telephone line access when required by the attached Accessory Telephone device, with a Barge-In protection facility. Can be used on a normal Single Line or your Commander, Key-System, PABX or other Multi-Line telephone system.
• INCOMING RING DELAY OPERATION
Can provide a Ring Delay of 4, 6 or 8 rings before incoming calls have access to the attached Accessory Telephone device.
• SPECIAL MULTIPLE NUMBER OPERATION MODE
Can operate with the Telstra Multiple Number service by identifying incoming Multiple Number calls and then switching these calls direct to the device(s) connected to the Accessory Port.
• SPECIAL EFT-POS OPERATION MODE
Can be set to allow an attached EFT-POS device to dial out as required as an accessory on any existing telephone line. Auto-Connect provides the full line voltage that EFT-POS devices need before they will dialout.
AUTO-CONNECT has been designed to allow an OUTGOING ONLY telephone device to share an existing Voice, Fax, Modem or Payphone line. This will save the installation and ongoing rental costs associated with operating a separate telephone line.
AUTO-CONNECT will not affect the normal operation of the telephone line that it is connected to. Incoming and outgoing telephone calls will take place exactly as they always have.
AUTO-CONNECT will automatically connect your EFTPOS device to the telephone line as soon as it has been activated by the user, so that it can process the transaction.
An EXCLUSION FACILITY is provided to ensure that your attached telephone device(s) cannot interfere (Barge-In ) with each other, if the telephone line is already in use. In this situation, if a device attempts to access the telephone line while it is in use, it will be blocked from the line and will not be allowed access to the line until the line is free.
AUTO-CONNECT can be used with ANY PABX, Commander or Multi Line Telephone System that uses normal incoming PSTN lines (cannot be used with incoming ISDN lines). This is done by connecting the LINE port of the unit direct to an incoming telephone line, prior to the system controller. The PRIMARY DEVICE port is then connected to your Multi Line Telephone System. The ACCESSORY DEVICE port is then connected to the Accessory Telephone device.
Save on Monthly Rental Costs (typically $35.00 per month).
Save on New Line Installation Costs (typically $200 per installation).
