Our RingMaster Telephone Line Simulator devices are designed to allow ANY TWO TELEPHONE devices to communicate, at distances up to 2km, without the need to connect to a telecom line, which would otherwise cost 25c per call, and tie up 2 separate telephone lines. The RingMaster devices are compact, reliable and can be conveniently used on any test bench, or even in the field. Operation is bi-directional so that either telephone device can make or receive telephone calls. Connection quality is loud and clear just like a telephone line, allowing for reliable Modem connection at maximum modem speeds. Connection is provided with a line voltage of 24VDC, which is the same voltage as most PABX equipment. Common applications for these devices include:

FOUR MODELS TO CHOOSE FROM
RINGMASTER STD
RINGMASTER STD is our simplest device and is suitable for use with MOST telephone equipment. RingMaster STD allows for one attached device to ring the other device by simply lifting either receiver (ie going ‘off hook’). As soon as the first device goes ‘off hook’, it will ring the other device with the standard AUSTRALIAN RING until the other device answers. Once the second device answers, RingMaster STD will provide both devices with a ‘noise free’ telephone line connection, so that they can communicate. Connection will cease as soon as one devices ‘hangs up’. Operation of this product is fully bi-directional.
RINGMASTER STD does not provide ‘Call Progress Tones’, such as Dial Tone, Busy Tone and Hang Up tone. This means that RingMaster STD cannot be used with equipment (such as a modem) that requires ‘dial tone’ before they will dial. You will need to use our RINGMASTER PRO, RINGMASTER CLI or RINGMASTER INTERNATIONAL devices with this type of equipment.

RINGMASTER PRO
RINGMASTER PRO is a sophisticated device that accurately emulates all of the Australian telephone line characteristics, including all ‘Call Progress Tones’. RingMaster PRO operates the same as a telephone exchange. Therefore when the first devices goes ‘off hook’, it will provide ‘Australian Dial Tone’. To initiate a call, you should then press 0, which will then cause the unit to generate standard AUSTRALIAN RING until the other device answers. Once the second device answers, RingMaster PRO will provide both devices with a ‘noise free’ telephone line connection, so that they can communicate. Connection will cease as soon as one device ‘hangs up’, at which time it will then generate ‘Australian Hang Up Tone’. If the other device is already ‘off hook’ when you attempt to make a call, RingMaster PRO will generate ‘Australian Busy Tone’. Operation of this product is fully bi-directional.
RINGMASTER PRO provides all ‘Call Progress Tones’, such as Dial Tone, Busy Tone and Hang Up tone. This means that RingMaster PRO can be used with equipment (such as a modem) that requires ‘dial tone’ before they will dial.
RINGMASTER PRO also provides all ‘Distinctive Rings’ that are used in Australia, such as FaxStream Duet ring, Multiple Number ring, Diverted Call ring and all of the other Distinctive Ring patterns that have been defined for eventual use in Australia. The 7 Distinctive Ring patterns are initiated by dialling 1 through to 7, instead of the normal 0.

RINGMASTER CLI
RINGMASTER CLI provides all of the features and facilities of our RingMaster PRO device, and in addition also provides for Calling Line Identification (CLI) data transmission, which in Australia is called Calling Number Display (CND).
RINGMASTER CLI has been pre-programmed with 10 separate CLI data transmissions, consisting of a range of Telephone Number, Date and Time data that can be used to comprehensively test the detection and display facilities of equipment which supports this service. One CLI pattern also provides Alphanumeric output, which can be used to test equipment that also supports NAME data that may be sent with future CLI transmissions. RingMaster CLI will also allow you to enter and transmit your own entered telephone number.
RINGMASTER CLI data is transmitted whenever a second digit is dialled (digits 0-9). However, if only 1 digit is dialled, RingMaster CLI will not generate CLI data on this call, but will simply initiate a call with the appropriate Ring Output required (this product also provides all ‘Distinctive Rings’ that are used in Australia).

RINGMASTER INTERNATIONAL
RINGMASTER INTERNATIONAL emulates the telephone line characteristics of over 20 separate countries. Country specific Ring Output, Dial Tone, Busy Tone and Hang Up tone are provided. Operation is fully bi-directional, with line connection at 24VDC (as provided by most PABX devices). Specific Country emulation is selected by setting the position of 4 dip switches, located on the underside of the unit (see table below). Changing emulation from one country to another can be achieved in seconds.
