Benefits

Making announcements over a PA System from a PBX handset is an extremely important business tool. However, not all PBX systems have the ability to do this or the cost of fitting this option to a PBX can be quite expensive. In particular, many new IP based PBX solutions do not provide for Paging facilities.

Our PA Switches are designed to solve these problems, because they can be used with ANY PBX solution and they are extremely cost effective.

Our PA Switches are designed to allow a Public Address (PA) system to be connected to any PBX system, so that Announcements can be made from ANY Telephone Extension at ANY time.

EASY INSTALLATION

1. Our PA Switch should be connected direct to a PBX Analog Extension, an FXS Port or an ATA . It can also be connected to a PSTN Line or an FXO Port.

2. Connect the PA Switch to your Amplifier 'Line In' port, using the supplied RCA cable. A Line Isolation Safety Transformer (LIU) is supplied with the RCA cable. The LIU is provided to prevent the possibility of 115V AC Voltage inadvertently connecting to PA Switch and the Telephone Line.

3. Connect the supplied 12VDC or 12VAC Power Adaptor

4. The Default settings will suit almost all applications. However if you need a special setting, you can now program the PA Switch via DTMF tones with a standard Analog handset.

EASY OPERATION

Once installed, PBX users need only :

1) Call the Extension Number (or Telephone number) that PA Switch is connected to.

2) PA Switch will then Answer the call and connect the call to the Paging Amplifier

3) The User will now be able to make their PA announcement.

4) The User can then Hang Up

For Model PA2, the User just needs to Hang Up

For Model PA1, the User should press any DTMF digit (0-9) to terminate the Page call, or it will automatically Hang up after a User Set Time.

THERE ARE TWO MODELS IN OUR RANGE

Model PA1 – terminates the announcement after a fixed period of time or when the user presses any DTMF digit on their handset.

Model PA2 - terminates the announcement on detection of hang up tones, which occur as soon as the user hangs up.

PA2 is designed to detect standard Hang Up tones (or silence) and will automatically hang up upon detection of the 3rd tone.

PA2 can also hang up after a fixed period of time or set  to hang up when the user presses any DTMF digit on their handset.
